Benjamin's Mama asked if she could bring along the board you see in the first image, and the sweet B block in another. It was a quick "YES!" from me! These small, personal touches add so much to an image. Ben, of course, is still the (CUTEST!) star of the show!
Let's start 2021 with the adorable Miss Hadley. <3 She, like so many captured in the same season, had a sense of peace about her, moving so easily into each pose. This precious new soul looked as lovely in pink as she did in yellow and every other color selected by her parents. Such a beauty!
As I look forward to a year of hope, this post will not be about all the losses suffered in 2020. Instead, let's focus on the blessings.
The long and quiet months during lockdown brought my family of five together again, with our eldest and our grandpup sheltering at 'home' where groceries and company were easier to come by. Our other two finished their college semesters remotely after spring break (Senior and Freshman, ouch.), and as we worked through the bumps in the road, I relished the family time as a whole unit. We cooked more, watched shows together, and shared many laughs. We were blessed with baby robins hatching right outside a kitchen window, and four monarch caterpillars on our milkweed. One of our mini poodles became quite the frisbee catcher as my hubby enjoyed more backyard time with the pups. It IS the little things!
Our middle daughter graduated from an outstanding university in May, and we couldn't be more proud of her hard work and dedication. She also quickly secured a job in her field of choice (A tough feat in this economy!)! Having her home for the long haul is a sweet bonus, (Lucky me - She's a beautiful singer and fills our home with piano and song almost daily!) and as a bit of a homebody, she's not mad about it! :)
Our eldest, Lilly, the co-founder and CPO of Maro, by Before We Begin, moved to TN this summer to be closer to her co-founder and their efforts paid off. These two powerhouses launched an incredible parent tool named Maro. They are changing the way we approach mental health and sex education. Take a look around! https://www.beforewebegin.com/maro. Our youngest secured a spot in the Hubbard Street pre-professional summer intensive (virtual) dance program and performed in one of the best virtual performances I've seen this year! She has also discovered an interest in and talent for painting!
And, of course, there are the many new souls who brought endless joy to the year. May not have had as many in the studio as years past, but this year was like no other (Thank G_d!). Every one of your littles touched my heart and gave me so much to look forward to during the long days of the year!
Meet the sweetest
2020 babies around!
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your support throughout the years. I wish you all a happy, healthy, prosperous new year!
It was a rare occurrence for our three girls to be dressed in pink as babies. While I liked soft, feminine tones back then, soft pinks were nowhere to be found. Many thought we were against traditional colors for our girls. Fast forward to Lillybelle Rose Photography and clients who choose pinks and purples...AHHH!!! LOVE IT!!!
Seems Madeline was made for soft, pretty tones! Look at this beauty in pinks and purples, with her cheeks gently draping down, nose wrinkling smiles, and stunning little features. It was a wonderful morning in the studio with this gorgeous new soul!
Had the absolute joy of capturing the sweetest little miracle, Fletcher. (Back in the days when we could open the studio to sibling captures...) His brother happily jumped in for posing and snuggling, and I was mesmerized by this pair! Enjoy some of my favorites from this special newborn session. <3
As many of my clients will tell you, some newborns tend to furrow their brows often. Some even have a "rbf"...hahahaha - adorable on a newborn, though! Some newborns are squirmers or vocalizers. My assistant, Bridget (Best assistant EVER!) and I adore each and every personality type, even sharing a giggle or two as we fawn over your babies.
Christopher, however, was none of the above. He was peaceful, still, calm, and oh-so-handsome to boot! Take a peek for yourself.
Jameson was scheduled for a newborn session earlier this year. As were many, his newborn session was cancelled due to the pandemic. His Mama decided she wanted to have him captured as soon as the studio was able to reopen, and I was thrilled. (Yes...I'm behind on blogging!!!) Galleries may look a bit different for some these days, but your sweet new souls are being captured in a way which honors who they are 'today', and that is what matters most.
