Elmhurst Newborn Photoshoot

During Oliver’s Elmhurst baby photoshoot, I pulled from his parents’ comments on their session questionnaire and kept things clean and simple.  Letting baby be the star of the show, as I like to say, results in a timeless portrait you will treasure for years to come.

Snuggling a newborn with a miniature stuffed animal, or lovie, seems to make every client squeal.  To be honest, I let out a little sigh of delight every time.  What is cuter than a newborn baby photoshoot with a miniature human snuggling a miniature stuffed animal??? Oliver held the sweet knit teddy like pro!  You can find beautiful Lovies in the Wooley Dreams Etsy shop!  Parents – these are not meant to be toys. 😉

Each session typically includes poses in three different props.  Here you can see I kept Olivers set ups simple, with yummy textures to keep it interesting.  He seems quite content in this beautiful bed.  Photographers, you can find more perfect newborn bed props at Luneberry!

After prop poses baby and I head to the newborn posing platform.  Here a space heater gently warms baby and The Baby Rockit and Shusher keeps baby comfortable and relaxed.  Tools like these make it easier to fill your gallery with a variety of poses and get you out the door while everyone is still happy!

Every session ends on a cream backdrop for a truly timeless, clean look.  There is no better way to showcase every perfect detail of your little soul.  I’ve been doing this for over ten years and don’t see the workflow changing any time soon!  🙂
