Your Portrait Session

My goal is to make the entire process stress-free and enjoyable for every newborn photoshoot.  To ensure availability for your newborn session, I recommend scheduling while in your second trimester.  

WHEN TO SCHEDULE

Newborn sessions should be scheduled while in your second trimester or no later than early in your third trimester to ensure availability.

 Pre-scheduled sessions serve as a placeholder. Your session date will be adjusted if needed once baby arrives!  

Since I like to have baby in the studio some time around the two week mark, please grab a date which falls approximately 10 days from your expected due date.  Again, this serves as a place holder and will be adjusted if need be!  Once I receive your booking notification, I will be in touch with a welcome email including all the details you will need for your session.  

All sessions take place in my Oak Brook photography studio, an incredible, large, dedicated space in our beautiful home.  A standard newborn session is for babies up to 2 weeks old.  Babies 3-4 weeks of age will be swaddled for all or most of their session.  Immediate family only (Newborn’s parents, newborn’s siblings).  No pets.

Premier Newborn Session ~ $975

$200 is captured at booking and serves as your non-refundable retainer. Balance due the day of session.

  • 30 high resolution images (color and black & white of each) AND…
  • 8×8 custom album of your session gallery ($350 value)
  • Parent & sibling poses included (No extended family/grandparents. Thank you for understanding)
  • Props & accessories provided
  • Print release included

Classic Newborn Session ~ $725

$200 is captured at booking and serves as your non-refundable retainer. Balance due the day of session.

  • 25 high resolution images (color and black & white of each)
  • Parent & sibling poses included (No extended family/grandparents. Thank you for understanding)
  • Props & accessories provided
  • Print release included

Swaddled Newborn Session ~ $325

$200 is captured at booking and serves as your non-refundable retainer and full payment.

  • 5 high resolution images (color and black & white of each image)
  • Baby only (Singletons only)
  • Baby will be fully swaddled in a cream wrap, and be posed on one fabric and in two props. You will select accent colors at booking
  • Print release included

ALL CLIENTS ARRIVING MORE THAN 15 MINUTES LATE TO THEIR SESSION WILL INCUR A $50 LATE FEE. The late feel will be automatically added to your balance due the day of your session.

Your welcome email will include tips to help prepare the evening prior and head out the door stress free. Waze is a great navigation tool to plan your commute ahead of time and arrive with time to spare.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is best to schedule your newborn session when you are early in your second trimester.  You are asked to book a session which lands on a date approximately 5-10 days after your estimated due date to allow wiggle room if baby arrives early or late.  A session will be secured, but your date will be adjusted if needed once you deliver if need be. SCHEDULE HERE

Your final gallery is delivered within two weeks of your session date, baring any unforeseen family or medical emergencies.

Shortly after scheduling your session, you will receive a welcome email with all the details you need, including preparing for the session. Lillybelle Rose Photography supplies all the props and accessories for newborn sessions.

No need to worry about clothing for your newborn – I have all the wraps and accessories needed at the studio. As for parent/family images, what to wear is a personal choice, but I do prefer soft color tones and casual clothing, and discourage wearing pure white which look much too bright with strobe lighting.  We want your tiny newborn to shine in the images, not compete for attention.  Do wear soft fabrics without distracting patterns or logos!

You receive full printing rights, along with a fantastic print lab recommendation. Only print products printed through Lillybelle Rose Photography are guaranteed.

The Photography Studio

My goal in creating the Lillybelle Rose Photography studio, nestled in the western suburbs of Chicago, was to create a comfortable, clean, roomy space with the comforts of home.  When you arrive, you will enter a spacious lounge area with room to kick back and relax.  In the photography area, you will see top-of the line equipment and a large assortment of props and accessories.  Once inside the photoshoot space, you will see everything set up for your portrait session (Items chosen based on your booking survey!)!  The studio is perfect for you to watch  or catch up on a few Zzzs as I work some magic with your newborn!

Your welcome email will include the studio address and directions.

The studio is located close to major expressways. Address provided in your welcome email.

The client lounge offers a spacious and comfortable space to relax while I work my magic.

Only the best equipment is used, keeping your newborn safe while creating timeless images.

The studio is bursting with beautiful props and accessories created by some of the top newborn vendors.

Policies

Retainer – To reserve a session date, Client shall pay to Photographer, upon booking, a non-refundable retainer for all session types. Client understands and agrees that Photographer will not book other sessions during client’s scheduled time. In the event that Client cancels the session or fails to attend the session on the Session Date, for any reason, Photographer shall suffer losses that are difficult to ascertain. As such, Client agrees that, in the event of cancellation by Client, such retainers shall be forfeited by Client and paid to Photographer as liquidated damages and not as a penalty. Client and Photographer agree that such amount is reasonable. If you must reschedule due to an emergency or illness, you MUST complete your session within 14 days to avoid loss of retainer fee. If a medical emergency or tragedy requires cancellation of the session by the client, Lillybelle Rose Photography may refund the retainer minus all credit card processing fees incurred.

Images – All images are copyrighted by Lillybelle Rose Photography. Your print release allows you to print any size prints or products at any location.  Lillybelle Rose Photography reserves the right to use all images for portfolio/website, display, competition or peer review. Unedited images are the property of Lillybelle Rose Photography and will not be released for any reason. Images are chosen based on technical merit, composition and variety.  I always softens skin, smoothes undereye areas, removes blemishes, and completes standard image corrections, but will not edit things which are the client’s responsibility such as clothing choices, hairstyles, or dirt/items that can be removed or wiped away in person (Food, old nailpolish, boogies, etc.).  A copy of final images are retained by Lillybelle Rose Photography for a period of one year. Lillybelle Rose Photography will not be held liable for images already distributed.

Appearance/Grooming – Lillybelle Rose Photography is not responsible for the appearance of subjects other than newborns in regard to clothing choices, condition of clothing, or grooming (hair, skin, etc).  

Behavior – Lillybelle Rose Photography is not responsible if the client or child fail to cooperate during the portrait session. Session will not be rescheduled for poor behavior.  

Printed Products – Printed images are only guaranteed for quality if printed through Lillybelle Rose Photography. Due to the nature of the service and it’s products, all sales are final. All professional print orders will be placed once payment has cleared. Orders may take up to two weeks to process and can be shipped to the studio or your home.

You hereby agree you will not and legally cannot sue Lillybelle Rose Photography or Francine Mittenthal, if you are injured on the studio and/or home property. You are waiving your right to sue and ultimately collect damages.

Lillybelle Rose Photography are not responsible for lost or damaged items during any on-location or studio sessions.
