Thanks to my wonderful Newborn & Maternity Photography Studio located in the western suburbs of Chicago, I’ve met hundredsssss of new souls. While photography is an incredibly rewarding career, the honor of working with so many brand new little humans is humbling. Take for example, Teddy. He arrived at the Photography Studio and my heart instantly melted.
Before we take a peek at some of the images from his gallery, I’d like to take a moment to share some information. Did you know you can find everything you need to know about a session with Lillybelle Rose Photography right here on the website? You can click HERE to read through information on session options and investment. You can head HERE to browse through more images on the portfolio page. Clicking HERE will take you to the “About Francine” page where you can learn a bit about me and how I fell in to this incredible career.
And now on the the fun stuff! Oh Teddy…this first image…the first set up of your session…your smile…your perfect little face…your adorable hair…This will be a holiday favorite forever! His entire session had me swooning. Enjoy!
Teddy’s images are a great example of the flow of a typical newborn session. Over twelve years, I’ve come to find my “happy place”, where I can accomplish everything I need in a session before baby starts to become very alert and disinterested in posing. Starting with the sibling and family poses allows everyone time in front of the camera when they first arrive feeling fresh and excited. After this segment of the session, Dad or a nanny heads out with any older siblings, allowing mom to rest while I quietly work with their newest addition. Starting with swaddled poses in the props helps baby get used to my touch while in the comfort of a full swaddle. From there, I move on to the unsaddled images, posing baby with great care, ensuring their comfort throughout the process. You will see, my poses come quite natural to these little ones, so fresh from the womb. If a typical pose in my work flow seems to cause discomfort, it will be skipped and I will move right on to a position in which baby can rest comfortably. Baby’s comfort and safety are always my number one concern! As always, please let me know if you have any questions before scheduling your newborn session HERE.
